“Today, three million families in the country depend on the shops. Right at the beginning of the pandemic, due to all the closures that occurred and with all the mobility difficulties of people, we realized that these businesses needed a lot of support ”, said Sergio Londoño, director of Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability of Coca-Cola Mexico.
Londoño explained, during his participation in the panel “The Focus on SMEs” of the Summit 2021 Expansion, that the company has a system that thinks globally, but acts local. For this reason, through the bottling partners, which are eight in Mexico, they began to detect that the little stores needed liquidity to be and continue in the market.
“One of the key pieces to reactivate the economy is to generate confidence to go to small businesses, shops, inns, restaurants, so that there is a reconnection between the population, in the neighborhood, in the neighborhood and thus, promote that productive chain that it is needed to get ahead, “said the manager.
In this way, the IMCC launched a campaign called “Let’s talk about the value of small stores”, which reiterates the company’s commitment to support the reactivation of the Mexican economy of the shopkeepers through investments, loans, training delivery of protective equipment to avoid contagion. In the same way, he makes a call to join forces for the love of Mexico and visit the “little shops”.
