Streaming music is today one of the essential services for millions of people, so Spotify seeks to be the best alternative for users with various updates that attract the attention of the public and become loyal consumers.
Now, Spotify is launching a new function called ‘Enhance’, which, automatically, will take care of improving your playlists with recommended songs, which in theory work and fit the style of the people and the existing themes of your music.
Spotify and its new feature
This new function will be launched through a button called ‘Improve’, which will appear at the top of the playlists, all the user needs to do is touch it to activate it. After that, the algorithm of the platform will take care of automatically adding some songs that it thinks work with your playlist.
Users will be able to differentiate these recommended songs thanks to the fact that they will appear with a bright green flashing icon, which means that they were not part of their original list and users will be able to decide if they can be part of their permanent list by pressing the ‘button. more ‘that appears next to the song.
“The Spotify algorithm is here to bring your playlists to life with new songs,” said the platform.
It is important to note that these songs added via ‘Enhance’ will not replace or modify songs that are already in your existing playlist. They can also be easily removed, all the user needs to do is disable the Enhance button at the top of their playlist.
In addition, the function will not be invasive, since Spotify will only add a maximum of 30 songs, with the additions spaced after every other track.
This function is available on both devices with system Android and iOS, but at the moment it will only work for Spotify Premium subscribers in the following countries: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy , Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK, and the US. The company notes that will roll out the feature in additional countries in the future.
Really necessary?
Although, there will be those who prefer to leave their musical tastes up to their choice, the truth is that Spotify is one of the leaders in personalization of content and dynamics to make the experience on the platform something beyond listening to music or a podcast.
In recent months, the platform has been in charge of adding more and more options that allow users to generate content that can be shared with Spotify users and non-users, such as joint playlists.
Spotify was officially launched in 2008 as a music streaming service. Today, 13 years later, it has become more than a streaming platform.
Currently, the site has 155 million paid subscribers (premium) and, to date, in addition to music, it has launched a large number of original podcasts, integrating just over two million titles so far.
The platform seeks to stay as a leader, in addition to being attractive in the face of the competition that is greater day by day, so continue betting on alliances and strategies to achieve it.
