The franchise of Splinter Cell It is one of the most beloved in the field of video games, which is why not so many months ago it was officially announced that the first game in the saga was going to have a reimagining. And although the development painted for this moment, it may be that things are delayed a bit due to something specific.
By this we mean that David Grivelgame director, has retired from Ubisoft not long ago. That information became clear from a publication of the network of LinkedIn where Grivel himself comments that he is about to embark on a new adventure. He is worth commenting that he was in the company of France approximately 11 years.
To give context, Grivel I work in Ghost Recon Future Soldier in Ubisoft Paris before moving to toronto to work on Splinter Cell Blacklist, Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, 5 and 6 and, most recently, the upcoming remake. Even now he will be looking for a new director, this so that the project will not suffer from a delay.
It is worth commenting that this game came out as an initiative towards fans of the franchise, since previous attempts to revive the saga as a cell phone launch did not quite fit. Given that, they noticed that the remakes with something that the fans are fond of, so in the end the decision was made to reimagine the game that started it all.
For now, it has not been revealed for which platforms it will be released.
