The companies that earn the most
The companies that boosted the income of the S&P/BMV IPC during the fourth quarter of 2022 are: Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA), with an advance of 52.2%; the Pacific Airport Group (GAP), with 41.1%; Grupo Carso, with 40.3%; Femsa, with 19.9% and Volaris with an increase of 16.4%.
“The aviation sector will show good results due to better conditions, that is, a more active economic and social opening. The airport groups will once again post solid results, strong growth in passenger traffic and solid cash flow generation. It must be remembered that the tourism sector in Mexico has recovered significantly and showed a positive trend in 2022,” analysts from Intercam Casa de Bolsa commented in a report.
Vector analysts considered that the figures of Valora Holding will be incorporated into FEMSA’s results for the quarter, so that the annual comparisons will have non-comparative bases. However, they commented that the segments that will give the most support to income will be the proximity division and logistics and distribution, due to the recovery of consumer mobility due to the normalization of work and academic activities.
In its corporate report, Grupo Carso pointed out that the strong growth of its sales in its infrastructure and construction division contributed 4,406 million pesos due to the progress in projects and more drilling of wells. Added to this was a strong push from Sanborns for the Good End and Christmas campaigns.
