It is practically a fact that capcom is already working on a remake for Resident Evil 4. In addition to all the rumors that came to light last year, concept art related to this title was also leaked not long ago. ShinjiMikami, director of the franchise, agrees that the game deserves a remake, but has a request for its developers in case it is true.
In a recent interview with VG247Mikami explained that the idea of redoing Resident Evil 4 it was actually something that he would like to see, since “the fans would love it”, and that’s a good thing. Despite the positive reception of this remake, Mikami said that he would like to see a few alterations to the narrative of this new version:
“It would be great if Capcom could do a great job and improve the story and release a good product.”
Curiously, Mikami He only had three weeks to write the story of Residentevil 4, so in this new version he would obviously like to spend more time on it and it will turn out much better in the end.
Publisher’s note: If Capcom handles this remake the same way they handled Resident Evil 2 and 3, then I don’t think there’s much to worry about. The year is just beginning, but I think there is still a chance that said remake could debut at some point in the next 12 months.
