Two industries that go hand in hand
In recent years, the automotive and technology industries have been collaborating through strategic alliances to harness the potential of connected cars, paving the way for a new era of mobility.
The data indicates that the global connected car market is projected to reach a value of $225 billion by 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of more than 17 percent from 2023 to 2025.
This growth is driven by demand for advanced connectivity features, such as in-car infotainment, telematics and vehicle communication with its environment, which enhance driving experiences and enable safer and more efficient transportation.
An example of this type of strategic alliance is the collaboration between TechTech and AutoDrivewho have joined forces to leverage their respective expertise in mobile technology and automotive engineering to create innovative solutions.
Through their alliance, they have developed an advanced infotainment system that integrates TechTech’s mobile operating system with AutoDrive’s vehicle interface. This system allows drivers to interact with their smartphones through the car’s dashboard display, voice commands, and steering wheel controls, providing a safer and more convenient way to access information, communicate, and control various functions while driving.
With the arrival of 5G technology, the “boom” of artificial intelligence and the spread of autonomous driving, there will surely be news of more collaborations between technology and car brands.
Ferrari and Samsung, strategic alliance
In a releasethe Korean phone brand said on Tuesday: “Over the past decade, Samsung Display has led the technology transition in the premium smartphone market from LCD to OLED.”
He added: “As a leader in this industry Samsung Display is now targeting the automotive display market, which is an important technology and business platform.”
Recall that at CES 2023, Samsung introduced a digital cockpit with a 34-inch thin-bezel display and flexible technology that creates a 700R curvature during driving mode.
The lightweight build and slim bezel of OLED panels allow for high levels of design freedom and high contrast capabilities that meet the design needs of major automobile manufacturers.
In addition, the low power consumption of OLED offers even greater benefits, as every watt saved improves the efficiency and sustainability of the car.
