A good port, but far from excellence.
There are many classic franchises among PlayStation exclusives, and this company has managed, over the years, to develop great titles, which in turn have given rise to great sagas, and which have accompanied us for several generations. Curiously, one of the generations in which the most sagas of PlayStation were born is that of PlayStation 3, and I say curiously because many people do not have good memories precisely of this generation. Now if we go more specifically, one of these franchises that were born in those years was Unchartedand now it has finally landed on PC.
Us We have already been able to test this so-called “Thieves’ Legacy Collection” in its version for PC, and then we will tell you how this first foray of the franchise into the PC market has been.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is a collection of the last two released Uncharted: the fourth numbered installment in the franchise and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. This collection arrived with various improvements at technical levels for the PlayStation 5 in early 2022, while the PC version has its release date set for October 19, 2022. We are facing an action and adventure video game, with a great focus on adventure since we will control two treasure hunters, Nathan Drake in the case of Uncharted 4, and Chloe Frazer in the case of Uncharted The Lost Legacy. For those people who have problems with languages, you should not worry, because both titles included in the collection are fully translated into Spanish.
Experience Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC
Before we start talking about our experience, it is necessary to mention that below we will focus more on talking about the particular aspects of this version, since there is already an analysis of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on our website, this corresponding to the PlayStation 5 version, that is, the one that was originally released. Even so, we will mention our experience with both titlesgiven that the importance of the quality of both video games in the final experience that we have been able to have with this title on PC is undeniable.
the end of an era
The Uncharted franchise was born, as we have said before, in the PlayStation 3 generation, and ended up accompanying us throughout that same generation, ending up having its final closure on the next PlayStation console. Currently many people are still waiting for a continuation of this franchise that seems like it will never come, but luckily for PlayStation 5 and PC users, Naughty Dog decided to bring us a collection with the last two titles of this mentioned franchise.
As we have already mentioned, this aforementioned collection includes Uncharted 4, title which meant the end of an eraand the conclusion of the story of Nathan Drake, as well as Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, a title that was initially planned as a DLC for the aforementioned video game, but that ended up being released independently.
both titles they are the best possible ending for this saga, being tremendously fun titles, with very well planned and executed plots, and that ended up setting a precedent if we talk about video games within its genre. On that side we can not complain, because we are facing two titles that deserve to be remembered, and that manage to leave a great taste in the mouth.
A good port, but far from excellence
In recent times, Sony has decided to bet on bringing us some of its great titles to PC, this being a strategy that is allowing users of this platform to discover great video gameswhile Sony manages to carve out a new player base, so it’s a “win win”.
At first there could be some distrust in the quality of these ports, and it is true that the first ones we received were not especially perfect, but the latest ones released, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, did achieve great versions up to par of the product they were adapting. For this reason, we currently have a very high bar when it comes to PlayStation games for PC, which is why We have been able to take a little disappointment when we have been able to see the performance of this title that we are going to analyze today, although I can already tell you that it is still a good port.
To begin with, we can say that it is surprising certain performance issues we’ve encountered, which has forced us to lower the quality of the textures to medium, while leaving all other options at ultra. We say that it is surprising because this title has similar requirements to the aforementioned Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, being that in this one we were able to play the entire adventure with the graphics on high, without having any problem.
Added to this is the fact that graphic settings don’t have many parameters that we can touch, missing certain options that we did not find. Yes, we have all the basics, plus NVIDIA DLSS integration (a very useful technology in this particular title), but we were still hoping that we could better configure our experience graphically.
Likewise, if you are one of those people who plays all the titles on PC with a keyboard and mouse, you should know that the key mapping done for this title is quite comfortable, making it totally feasible to choose this control mode instead of using the usual command. Even so, if you don’t like this button mapping you won’t have any problem, since it’s quite easy to change the keys associated with each function.
Even with everything mentioned, we are talking about a worked portwhich seems not getting the most out of the hardware, but if it allows us to revive two great jewels with a graphic quality that has nothing to envy to the PlayStation version. Yes, certain options are missing, and could be better optimized, but these things may be added with future updates, or even the release patch, so it’s nothing to shout about. It’s a good version that could have been better, but that more than meets what is asked of itsomething that not all PC titles can say.
Technical errors that end up being funny anecdotes
Yes, we have already talked about how this title works in terms of performance, something that was tremendously important to mention since we are talking about the analysis of the PC version, but now we have to talk about another tricky point: the errors or bugs that we have found in this title, and yes, there are.
Let’s not be alarmed, because it is not an unplayable title, nor that it manages to overwhelm us with errors, because from now on I tell you that these can be counted on the fingers of one hand, or at least according to our experience, but yes they can be annoying. To start with, mentioning a specific case, on one occasion we had to exit the game and re-enter to get into the car, because for some reason the button to get in never appeared, regardless of where you stood.
This case that we have mentioned is the most extreme that we have encountered, which forced us, as we have said, to restart the game, but otherwise we have only seen graphic bugs or even some of the characters that teleport in cinematicsbut I’m telling you right now that all the ones we’ve been able to see seem to be easily solvable with the day one patch, so you shouldn’t experience it when this title comes out.
Conclusions and note of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection for PC
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection lands on PC with a good port, but it falls far short of excellence, as well as the precedents that other Sony titles set when they came to PC. If you have a computer that meets the requirements of this title, and you have never delved into any of these two video games included in the collection, you must throw yourself without thinking, and we are faced with two essential titles. Even so, in certain aspects we are faced with an improvable port, which can and must evolve towards excellence with its updatesbut that this does not make it stop being a good version.

Conclusions | Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is a very good collection of two of the best games of the last generation, being also the best possible conclusion for an iconic franchise like Uncharted. Now it comes to PC with a port that, although it has problems with optimization, in addition to not having a wide range of graphic options (something that PC users love), manages to give us a good experience, putting on the table everything necessary to be a good port, although moving away from the excellence that we can see in the titles that it includes. |
With this analysis, and these conclusions, you can now make a decision for yourself about whether you want to acquire this title. If you want some advice again, which we have already mentioned, the best we can say is that if you have never played these titles, and you have a powerful PC, this port is fully recommended.
Let’s just hope that this title manages to be successful on PC so that Sony decides to bring us the original trilogy to this platform, so that in that way these new users can know the entire journey of Nathan Drakeand not just the end of it.
