Realme has followed in the footsteps of Samsung and OnePlus and did not want to wait long to present what will be its flagships for 2024. The company has presented the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+which come to renew the 11 Pro and 11 Pro+ with better cameras and more powerful specifications, but maintaining practically the same appearance.
In fact, if it weren’t for some small differences, it would be very difficult to distinguish these new Realme from their predecessors. lThe Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ are also exactly the same as each other. They keep the back in a vegan leather finish with a huge photo module located in the central part and with a strip that runs from top to bottom to give it a more striking appearance. The front in both cases stands out for its thin frames, as well as its double curvature on the screen.
And speaking of the screen; It is also exactly the same in both models. Both the Realme 12 Pro and the 12 Pro+, therefore, arrive with a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution (2,412 x 1,080 pixels), as well as a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The brightness in both cases is 950 nits.
Betting on Qualcomm and inheriting the best of the OnePlus 12
Where we start to see differences between the Realme 12 Pro and the Pro+ is in the processor and the camera. The Pro model has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, and is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. The Realme 12 Pro+, on the other hand, opts for a processor Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, and arrives with 8 or 12 GB of RAM, as well as 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. All this, with a 5,000 mAh battery and a 67W fast charge.
The most important leap of these new Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ compared to their predecessors is in the camera, and more specifically, in one of the sensors. The company has finally decided to do without the macro to opt for a telephoto lens in both models. In the case of the Realme 12 Pro, we find a sensor Sony IMX709 32 megapixel which allows you to capture images with a 2x optical zoom. The Pro Plus model, on the other hand, opts for a 64 megapixel OBV64B sensor which allows images with a 3x optical zoom. It is, specifically, the same sensor that we see in the OnePlus 12.
In the main camera there are also differences between the two models. The Pro Model has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor, while the Pro+ version has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor; again, the same one we see on the OnePlus 12.
