As of 2020, QuakeCon has had to adopt a completely digital format, this due to the ravages caused by the pandemic of the COVID-19. Although it is already starting, it seems that the organizers of the event decided that for this year the best option would be to continue with this same format, so don’t expect to return to Dallas but until 2023.
This news was confirmed by the official account of QuakeCon in Twitter, where they explain that once again, the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus has caused them to adopt the digital format for the third consecutive year. However, they also mention that they are already planning to return to the physical format for the 2 edition.023.

As mentioned in the statement above, more details about the event will be shared with us in June. QuakeCon 2022 will take place from 18 to 20 August 2022.
Publisher’s note: Well, it seems that the world has already forgotten about the pandemic, since almost all the great important events in the world of entertainment have returned to their face-to-face format. It is estimated that QuakeCon receives about 10,000 visitors per year, so it makes sense that they are being so strict with these measures.
