Jorge Arganis, head of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT), reported that the taking of booths was no longer used as a social protest, since it is now carried out by organized crime.
“In reality, the taking of booths was presented to us that it is not only an act of social protest, as it is presented in Chilpancingo, but that they are already criminal organizations that take advantage of it to have resources. Therefore, sanctions are being applied with the National Guard and the Prosecutor’s Office (Genera de la República), ”he said.
When appearing for the Third Government Report of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the official commented that in 2020, the losses due to the taking of booths amounted to 4,121 million pesos.
In the Senate, Arganis declared that the current government “is building the future” based on public policies that fight poverty and seek well-being, and the generation of infrastructure is one of its tools.
“The report that is presented to you today is the result of teamwork and collective dedication and above all it is the product of the conviction that we are not only executing works, but that we are also contributing to the Fourth Transformation of Mexico,” said the secretary. .

The expansion of the Suburban Train to connect it with the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) will cost 21,943 million pesos, reported the head of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT).
During his appearance before the Senate Communications and Transportation Commission, Jorge Arganis explained that 51% of the cost will be paid by the highway concessionaire and 49% by the federal government.
He mentioned that together with the Secretary of National Defense they are working on the project to build a 23-kilometer branch from the Lechería station to the new airport, a section in which there will be seven stations, including the terminal.
The head of the SCT also pointed out that to facilitate the land interconnection with the AIFA, the modernization and expansion of lanes is being carried out on the Mexico-Pachuca Highway, a connection junction to the new airport and the main access of the free road to Tonanitla.
“These are works that, together with all the works that are already being carried out in the area, will contribute to reducing vehicle traffic and travel times to the new air terminal,” said Arganis.
