When will these emulators be available on Nintendo Switch?
For now, it is unknown when or how Nintendo could market these emulators for its star console, the Nintendo Switch. However, looking at the company’s strategy, everything suggests that these products will be part of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription, like other previous console emulators.
Nintendo Switch Online is available at two different plans: the standard option, which enables the multiplayer in addition to some extra complement; and the option with expansion packs, which adds some DLCs for Nintendo titles (such as Animal Crossing or Mario Kart) to online connectivity. This latest package also offers the possibility of playing certain N64 titles through an emulator. It would not be a surprise, therefore, if the Game Boy and GBA emulators follow this same path and are only available to those subscribers to the highest level of Nintendo Switch Online.
