Motorola launches in Spain the expected Razr 2022, its shell-type folding inspired by the iconic Motorola Razr series that became so popular during the first decade of this century. This phone also seeks to solve errors of previous generations to, now, gain a foothold in the folding telephony segment where Samsung is the one who has put the most meat on the grill.
The Motorola Razr 2022 arrives, first of all, with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Qualcomm’s most advanced processor this year. It also has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. That is to say: power, unlike previous generations, is not an issue with this phone.
With regard to screens, this phone has two: the interior (flexible) and a smaller exterior. The interior has a size of 6.7 inches, FHD + resolution and up to 144 Hz refresh rate. The exterior, on the other hand, has a size of 2.7 inches, 60 Hz and AMOLED technology.
As far as cameras are concerned, the Motorola Razr 2022 incorporates three sensors: two on the back, one on the inside:
- 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, f/1.8 aperture lens and 2-micron pixels (making pixel-binning).
- Secondary 13-megapixel resolution camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens, 1.12-micron pixels, and a 120-degree field of view (ultra wide angle).
- 32-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture lens and 0.7-micron or 1.4-micron pixels if done pixel-binning.
The battery, finally, has a capacity of 3,500 mAh and can be quickly powered by a power adapter with up to 30 watts of power.
The Motorola Razr 2022 also improves as a foldable
Motorola’s new phone also improves as collapsible. First of all, the usual mark in the middle of the screen is much less noticeable than in other products in this category. Similarly, when it is closed, there is no gap between the two halves of the phone, something that we do see in other models such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.
The Motorola Razr 2022 lands in Spain starting today with a starting price of 1199 euros. A figure higher than that of other folding phones, but competitive with respect to high-end phones. In other words: you no longer have to pay 1,500 or 2,000 euros to get a smartphone with this type of screen.
