This weekend Epic Games announced that it would donate all profits from Fortnite to humanitarian aid organizations for Ukraine, this during the period from March 20 to April 3, 2022. Today, Epic Games announced that they had raised more than $36 million dollars on its first daywhich also marked the beginning of Season 2, Chapter 3 of Fortnite.
On its official site, Epic Games clarifies that they will make donations as soon as they can, so they will not wait for payments to be processed on their platforms and partners, which may take a while depending on the way in which the transaction was processed. Instead, as the earnings are recorded, Epic Games will make the corresponding donations in a matter of days.

Epic Games also announced that the donations would be distributed among four organizations, UNICEF, which is on Ukrainian soil with water, medicine, and education services; the World Food Programme, an organization dedicated to fighting famine; UNHCR, the UN refugee agency; and Direct Relief, dedicated to improving the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergencies.
All purchases with real money made between March 20 and April 3 are considered, in addition to the fact that Xbox joined the initiative and announced that they will also donate the earnings they receive in the game through their platforms.

Remember that only real money transactions count towards these donations, so spending accumulated V-Bucks does not contribute to this cause. In the event that you wish to contribute through Fortnite to help while you play, you can make purchases within the in-game store and Epic Games will donate the equivalent of your earnings, just like Microsoft on Xbox platforms.
