The collaborations between Adidas and atmos They are not new. And these two giants of the world of fashion and sports footwear have collaborated on multiple occasions, with designs that have managed to be a sales success and an important attraction for collectors. Example of this were the “G-SNK” by Adidas Superstarwhich featured a glow-in-the-dark design, or their reinterpretation of the model ZX8000transformed by atmos with a design inspired by the “Graffiti” concept.
Now, 2024 brings a reunion between both brands, with a collaboration that promises to give a lot to talk about. We talk about the atmos x adidas adiStar Cushion 3 “Twilight”, a silhouette created to pay homage to the skies of Tokyo at dusk.
This is what the atmos x adidas adiStar Cushion 3 “Twilight” look like
The new cCollaboration between the Japanese brand and the three lines captures the essence of twilight with a marked blue gradient. And its name is no coincidence, as it refers precisely to the natural color of the skies of Tokyo, Japan.
Thus, the adiStar Cushion 3 model, which was just re-released in January as part of a retro initiative by Adidas, was chosen for this project. It is a modern version that stands out for its upper part with chrome details and the iconic three-stripe metal brand.
Furthermore, it has a Midnight black base that provides a backdrop for the blue tones that adorn the profile of the shoe and they steal the entire film, evoking the night sky of the Japanese capital from light blue to navy blue from toe to heel.
According to atmos, this collaboration is the perfect mix of retro and modern elements, a statement that is reflected in the choice of silhouette and the chosen color scheme. Likewise, this design clearly reminds us of the fashion of the 2000s, but mixing current trends and popular graphics from the 2010s, such as the adidas ZX Flux.
However, the atmos x adidas adiStar Cushion 3 “Twilight” They will be available starting next May 25, and will be sold exclusively through adidas Japan and atmos Japan, so – following the trend of previous collaborations between adidas and atmos – it is unlikely that they will reach store shelves in the United States.
