Microsoft’s annual hardware event has left us with the new generation of one of its most popular laptops. The Surface Laptop Go 3 It is now official, and although on the outside it is practically identical to its predecessor, inside we find the true generational leap.
Microsoft mentions that its goal with the Surface Laptop Go 3 has always been to offer the highest possible performance without sacrificing autonomy. Thus, the computer embraces the 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor.
Ok, it is not Intel’s most recent proposal, but Redmond opted for this option because it offers a good balance between performance and autonomy. It’s well known that Intel’s 30th generation eats up a laptop’s battery, and Microsoft didn’t want to take any chances.
With this addition, those led by Satya Nadella hope that the Surface Laptop Go 3 will be a 88% faster than the previous model. The autonomy, for its part, will extend to the 15 hours. Everything will depend, of course, on the activities you are doing. The more they consume resources, that figure will decrease.
The RAM memory will be available in variants of 8 or 16 GBwhile storage is 256 GB. Be careful, the storage can be expanded thanks to a removable module that supports SSD units of up to 512 GB.
The Surface Laptop Go 3 maintains its 12.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1536 x 1024. More than enough for the consumer to whom this product is directed. The webcam, however, maintains its 720p resolution. In this sense, we did expect something more, especially since a large part of the industry has already adopted 1080p with its standard.
The sound section is not far behind. The laptop has Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Audio support.
In terms of connectivity, the Surface Laptop Go 3 integrates a USB-A and a USB-C port. The 3.5 mm Jack is also maintained. to connect headphones. It has support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1so you’ll be well covered for adding wireless accessories.
The Surface Laptop Go 3 will be available starting next October 3 for $799 dollars. At the moment, they have not revealed its availability or price outside the United States. However, considering Microsoft’s drive to popularize its laptops, it shouldn’t take long in other countries.
