The Ministry of Health of Mexico reported this Saturday 348 new deaths from Covid-19 for a total of 281,958 deaths, in addition to another 6,153 new cases to reach 3,720,545 infections.
With these figures, Mexico remains the fourth country with the most deaths from Covid-19, behind the United States, Brazil and India, and the fifteenth in number of confirmed infections, according to the Johns Hopkins University count.
In the last weeks, The Mexican Government has maintained that the third wave of Covid-19 that has affected the country for more than three months add at least 8 weeks of reduction.

The health authorities recognize that, Based on the death certificates, the pandemic would be around 410,000 deaths in the country and they estimate that Mexico actually accumulates 3,938,091 infections.
From this figure, 47,048 are active cases, which have presented symptoms during the last 14 days and represent 1.2%.
In addition, 3,076,904 people have recovered since the start of the pandemic.
The average occupancy of general beds in Mexican hospitals is 28% and 26% for intensive care beds.
With regard to deaths, Mexico City (the focus of the pandemic) accumulates 18.2% of all deaths nationwide.
The authorities also indicated that the vaccination program, which includes all those over 18 years of age, accumulates 106.73 million doses applied by adding 608,818 during the last day.
So far, 66.22 million people over the age of 18 have at least one dose.
Of that total, 72% —47.69 million— have received the complete scheme.
This Saturday, the Mexican company Birmex, in charge of the distribution of vaccines in the country, announced that 3.1 million doses of Pfizer, AstraZeneca and CanSino are ready to be distributed in the coming days in more than 20 states of Mexico.
Since the end of December 2020, 123.92 million doses of the Anglo-Swedish vaccines AstraZeneca, the Russian Sputnik V, the American Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna, in addition to the Chinese CanSino and Sinovac have arrived in the country.
The Mexican government estimated that by the end of October it could reach 120 million doses but it has exceeded that goal in the first week of the month and estimates that before the end of 2021 it will have received a total of 150 million doses.
