The legal recourse is framed in the TMEC trade agreement, signed between Canada, the United States and Mexico, the Mexican Economy and Labor Secretariats reported Thursday night in a joint statement.
“This review request identifies alleged violations of collective rights due to the company’s refusal to apply the most beneficial terms of the existing Law Contract in the rubber industry,” they said.

From the moment the appeal was admitted, the Ministry of Labor will have 35 days to investigate and announce a decision.
