The recovery in the production of BMW cars stands out, since it went from producing just 1,697 units in February 2022, to 6,997 cars in the same month this year. That is, an increase of 312.3% at the annual rate.
In contrast, Mercedes Benz production fell 40% compared to February 2021.
Car exports on the rise
In the first two months of 2023 alone, 468,619 cars were exported, mainly to the United States. This implies a growth of 11.98% compared to the same period in 2022.
The brands that exported the most cars in February were General Motors (50,721 units), Stellantis (34,814) and Nissan (31,989).
In the domestic market, on the other hand, sales also skyrocketed in February at an annual rate of 28.03%, since 22,313 more units were sold than in the same month of the previous year.
