The new Metalsa plant is prepared to serve two Toyota assembly plants in Guanajuato and Baja California, with an expected annual production capacity of 308,000 chassis units.
The new plant is considered one of the first Metalsa facilities to achieve zero emissions from mobile equipment, thanks to its exclusive use of electrical equipment in material handling.
Likewise, reforestation measures have been implemented with the planting of 9,000 species of cacti and 2,500 mesquite and palo blanco trees. The plant also has wastewater treatment systems, both industrial and sanitary.
The Guanajuato plant is part of Metalsa’s global network, which includes 13 manufacturing plants in various countries, including Mexico, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Thailand, India and China. The network also includes sequencing centers and commercial offices in different parts of the world, for a total of more than 11,000 collaborators worldwide.
