Top Gun: Maverick keep making comments. To different positive reviews (and others not so much) the box office figures have been added: it is being a success. Those who saw the first film, released in 1986, and those who did not, are going to the cinema to watch the new work of Tom Cruise. The exhibition also makes it easier for some stories and anecdotes of the protagonists to be known during the filming.
One of them was Miles Tellerwho plays the son of Goose (Anthony Edwards in Top-Gun), and who was surprised during different sections of the filming. To such an extent that he thought his life was at risk: “I definitely had a moment where I thought I was going to die.“, said to LADBible. Both the first and second films have received positive reviews for the recording methods used.
During the recording of Top Gun: Maverickthe production leased some F-18s from the US Government. Each hour was the equivalent of $11,374. A risk both physical and economic that is reflected in several scenes of Top Gun: Maverick. Miles Teller added a few more comments.
Top Gun: Maverickrisk and adrenaline
Miles Teller commented that the moment he felt he was going to die was doing a maneuver to Top Gun: Maverick, perhaps one of the most recognized within the mythology of the film. The actor said, “There was a sequence where we were heading straight for the ground and you do what’s called a high-G pull-up.”
The actor’s description didn’t end there: “You’re heading downhill and at the last second you pull away, and it’s really hard on the pilot. It’s something they train on all the time, but it was the first time we’d done a stunt like that and I stopped performing altogether. I looked at the ground and thought that this was not going to end well for me”.
The first film, top gunIt was a risky bet at the time. Different actors were considered for the role of Tom Cruise and none were really interested; even Cruise himself wasn’t too drawn to it at first. The main argument was that the script was not solid.
A trip to an air base was enough for the actor to be enchanted by that world and set out, together with the production, to make it as real as possible. Years later, the story breaks the box office again (in 1986 it was the highest grossing film). Now, even, a third part is thought that could be carried out by Miles Teller.
