The Mexican supply chain leader
Roberto Isaías guides Mattel’s strategy of supply chain globally. The Mexican has spent more than two decades in the toy company, a period in which he has built a solid career, always backed by a formula that has proven to give results: surround himself with capable and talented people.
“In collaboration with a highly competent team, we implemented significant improvements in our planning and production processes, added cutting-edge technology and improved the relationship with our suppliers and business partners,” said Roberto Isaías.
In his position as Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer, Roberto Isaías currently celebrates important achievements for the company, highlighting notable reductions in production and distribution costs, as well as reduction in time to market and service to its retailers.
“When I came to Mattel, I had 13 years of prior experience in planning and logistics issues, designing supply chains with operations in several countries, adapting capacities according to factors such as how many products you have, if there is seasonality, where it is produced. Under this precept operates the new strategy of supply chain of Mattel, where the dynamics in the Montoi plant in Mexico will be totally to the rest of the plants”, explained Roberto.
