The airline currently has 10 weekly flights in Mexico: one daily to Frankfurt and three weekly to Munich from Mexico City International Airport (AICM).
For the winter, the airline plans to have 19 operations between Europe and Mexico, taking into account its flights in Cancun, and seeks to recover the capacity it offered before the pandemic. “We want to go back to having five weekly flights to Munuch,” he added.
In addition, Arias said that they will seek to increase the number of frequencies to European destinations that operate through other airlines of the Lufthansa group, to European cities such as Zurich or Vienna through Swiss and Austrian.
Regarding growth through the AICM, the manager acknowledged that the reduction in operations established in August 2022 will allow them to grow, but up to a certain point.
“The AICM has its limitations. This will mean that we cannot continue to grow beyond what we had before the pandemic,” he said.
