Wave of violence in Zacatecas and Colima
Violence has increased in the last week in two states of the Republic.
In Zacatecas, the bodies of four of the five disappeared students were found in the municipality of Francisco R. Murguía over the weekend. There were also shootings and burning of vehicles in Colima, after a week of clashes between organized crime groups.
In Mexico, infections recede and the Patria vaccine advances
Two good news about the pandemic: the Undersecretary of Health, Hugo López Gatell, said that for the third consecutive week there was a reduction in Covid-19 infections.
Meanwhile, Conacyt reported that according to the results of the first phase of clinical trials, the Mexican Patria vaccine was shown to be safe for humans and to have immunological potential.
Lower tension in Ukraine
Russia announced the withdrawal of some troops that participated in the military exercises near Ukraine, which opens the possibility of reducing tension in the region.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressed “cautious optimism” for the Russian withdrawal, as there are still elements to think of an invasion at any time.
The mysterious death of birds in Chihuahua
As if it were a horror movie, a security camera in the municipality of Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, captured the moment in which dozens of birds fell dead on the street, without apparent cause.
In the images, the flock can be seen approaching a house and, suddenly, many collapse.
