Recommendations for viewing the eclipse
To view the eclipse without risking damage to your eyesight, it is necessary to wear sun protection glasses. The UNAM recommends that these be certified to CE and ISO 12312-2.2015 (E) standards, to guarantee adequate protection.
It is also necessary to check that the lenses do not have any type of damage, such as cracks and scratches.
If children will be part of the eclipse viewing, they should be supervised by adults and make sure they wear solar viewers.
And finally, the eclipse should not be viewed through camera lenses, telescopes, binoculars or other optical devices, as the concentrated solar rays would burn the filter and cause serious injury to the viewer.
