A custom in the world of cinema is to launch songs that go hand in hand with premieres, some are pieces of an author or others are precisely created for the tape in question. This is the case of the singer’s most recent single Lady Gagawho prepared a fully dedicated musical performance to promote Top Gun: Maverick.
The song is named after “Hold my hand”, whose main message is to be there for each other, something that can be interpreted more as a kind of camaraderie between comrades. Single that was produced by this great singer and her collaborator BloodPop. The theatrical version features an additional arrangement of Harold Faltermeyer Y Hans Zimmer.
Here the statements of Lady Gaga Regarding the composition:
When I wrote this song for Top Gun: Maverick, I didn’t realize the many layers that encompassed the heart of it, my own psyche, and the nature of the world we’ve been living in. I’ve been working on it for years, perfecting it. I wanted to turn the music into a song in which we share our deep need to be understood and try to understand each other: a longing to be close when we feel far away, and an ability to celebrate life’s heroes.
This song is a love letter to the world during and after a very difficult time. I’ve wanted you to hear it for so long.
The film opens on may 27th in theaters.
In related news, during the CinemaCon 2022 the first impressions of the tape were given. If you want to know more, we leave you a link.
editor’s note: Normally in this type of work, you can see how it is that the authors put their heart to transmit messages and that we relate them to what we see on the screen. This also happened at the time with the singer Adele, who made a great piece of music to adapt to the adventures of agent 007.
