McAfee, with a film crew, hid for weeks deep in the Belizean rainforest, crossed borders into Guatemala and arrived in the Bahamas on a boat loaded with weapons, drugs and alcohol, trying to avoid his suspected pursuers.
In 2020, McAfee was arrested in Spain on charges of tax evasion in the United States and a year later, before being extradited, he was found dead in his cell.
