With this new date, the balances will be updated between January 11 and 13, 2023.
In December, more than 332,000 borrowers made their conversion. With this, since the program began in 2019, 770,746 borrowers have benefited from the restructuring and more than 71,000 million pesos of discounts on the balance, according to Infonavit.
Credits in VSM are updated each year, either based on inflation or on the Measurement and Update Unit (UMA). With the conversion to pesos, borrowers will be able to obtain monthly payments and fixed balances for the rest of the life of the loan and better interest rates, between 1.9% and 10.45%, depending on the income of the people.
According to the institute, the Shared Responsibility program seeks to avoid increases in the balance and monthly payment of credits in VSM, due to inflation, and to eliminate unpayable credits originated in the past.
The conversion of credits is a free process that is carried out through the My Infonavit Account website or at Infonavit service centers.
