What banks offer you Cetes?
Almost all of the six largest banks in the country offer you investments in Cetes. They range from 50,000 pesos and in some cases you must receive an invitation from the bank to make this type of movement.
In Cetes Directo, the investment platform, allows you to do it from 100 pesos with an active bank account.
What is the best bank to invest in Cetes?
Before saying that a bank is good or bad for investing in Cetes, you have to know two things: how much money you want to allocate and in what term you want the money.
In the case of Banorte, the bank offers a product called Promissory Note Banorte High Yields which offers a guaranteed fixed rate of up to 116% of Cetes EYE! You are NOT investing in Cetes, it is only the rate that takes the behavior of the Cetes as a reference.
To hire this product you need to open your account with 250,000 pesos and choose the period that suits you: 28, 91, 182 and 366 days.
Santander offers a product called Super Cete which is opened from 50,000 pesos and has terms of 35, 90, 180 and 360 days.
Scotiabank offers Scotia CEDES, which are an instrument that provides a variable rate based on the 28-day CETES reference rate, with different investment terms in national currency (from 90 days). The minimum amount is 50,000 pesos.
HSBC offers CEDES, which are certificates of deposit, and whose variable rate is referenced to 28-day Cetes. There are terms of 91, 182, 371, 560 or 721 days and an initial amount of 50,000 pesos.
Citibanamex offers a product, which, hand in hand with BlackRock, invests in debt instruments and provides a competitive yield with respect to that of 28-day Cetes and UDIs.
