The manufacturer Friber, SA has requested the return of the product “Cecina sliced in olive oil” with an expiration date of 07/11/2023, a food alert that has been shared by the Lidl chain, where the product has been sold, in a statement.
The presence of listeria monocytogenes. This bacterium causes one of the most serious foodborne diseases, the listeriris, a gastrointestinal disease that presents a mortality of between 20 and 30% among a certain risk population, such as the elderly or people with a weakened immune system, and pregnant women are also another risk group, since it can cause septicemia that puts endangering the life of the mother and fetus.
It is important to refrain from consuming the product with the affected expiration date (07/11/2023) and return it to any Lidl store, where purchase price will be refundedeven without presenting your ticket.
No other product sold by Lidl Spain, nor by the manufacturer Friber, SA, is affected by this alert.
The product has been distributed in some stores in the autonomous communities of Aragon, Basque Country, Navarra, La Rioja and Cantabria.
