President Andrés Manuel López Obrador celebrated the return to face-to-face classes in all the states of the country and even narrated that today at 6:00 in the morning he had to pick up his son Jesús Ernesto to go to school.
“It is very important that they start classes, we celebrate that they do so because many have gone through very difficult economic situations, but we are now back to normal and we have a lot of faith,” said López Obrador.
The head of the federal Executive insisted on the need for minors to return to socialize with their classmates, resume their studies and reinforce them, and urged not to be afraid of the infections that may occur.
“We are returning to face-to-face classes in the country today, it is a very important day because girls, boys, adolescents, to public and private schools, the school year begins, an effort has been made. Teachers, teachers, parents, municipal authorities, governors, the teachers’ union are participating ”, he said.
“I had to wake up Jesus at 6 in the morning to go to school,” added the federal president in his morning press conference from the National Palace.
López Obrador met with the 32 governors of the country who were accompanied by a representative of the federal government to report on the opening of classes.
The only one absent was the governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez, whom the President of the Republic claimed minutes before for not having his support to contain the violence in the state.

The Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, called on all parents to trust the sanitary measures implemented in educational establishments.
According to the federal educational authority, in the capital of the Republic 95% of the schools opened their doors.
In Yucatán, Governor Mauricio Vila reported that around 622 thousand students returned to classrooms in the state, who will be cared for by about 40 teachers.
Governors Rutilio Escandón and Alfredo del Mazo reported the opening of 19,000 educational establishments in Chiapas and the return of around 4 million students to Mexican schools, respectively.
In Jalisco, Governor Enrique Alfaro reported that they receive 1 million 610 thousand students in basic education in their classrooms while asking President López Obrador for his support to recover 90 schools that were damaged by Hurricane Nora.

“There is a hybrid model and we are aware that success will depend on coordination. They have helped us a lot in this process and we are aware of the enormous responsibility that we have ”, commented the state president.
In her speech from the state of Veracruz, the Secretary of Public Education, Delfina Gómez, thanked the school community for their willingness to return to schools and, like President López Obrador, asked to be confident that the sanitary measures will be complied with.
“Young people come with all the wishes and the encouragement to return to class. There are security protocols, that will help us. I have had communication with the Ministry of Health in this great effort, “said the official.
