The new 2023 range of the Hyundai IONIQ 5 already has prices in Spain and everything is ready to experience its commercial launch. The offer has been renewed and, although the same levels of finish are maintained, there are important new features. Especially when it comes to the powertrain.
One of the great improvements that the IONIQ 5 has undergone has to do neither more nor less than with the battery. It releases a higher capacity battery, which allows it to improve autonomy. The autonomy of the new Hyundai IONIQ 5 2023

Hyundai has taken advantage of the launch of the 2023 range to increase the performance of the IONIQ 5 by adding to the range a 77.4 kWh lithium ion battery. It is a notable improvement over the 72.4 kWh battery as it allows increase autonomy above the 500 kilometer barrier.

The motorization of access continues to use the 58 kWh battery that feeds a single motor of 125 kW (170 hp) with a rear-wheel drive configuration. The new 77.4 kWh battery is available in rear-wheel drive versions with 168 kW (229 hp) and all-wheel drive with 239 kW (325 hp) respectively.
As for autonomy, the 58 kWh access model declares 384 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. A figure that increases to 507 km in the 77.4 kWh 168 KW model. In the most performance version, the autonomy is slightly reduced up to 454 km due to the additional motor that the vehicle mounts to enjoy the aforementioned all-wheel drive.
