For this occasion, the presentation that has just taken place lets us know the Huawei Nova 9 and Huawei Nova 8i, two models focused on the mid-range that want to gain a foothold. We still do not know anything in our market of those already presented in China Huawei P50, but until the time comes, if it ever comes, we keep our eye on this renewal.
It is a smartphone that, although it would fit within the mid-range, seeks to be something more and even just by looking at the design we see that it is close to that already known Huawei P50. A model that stands out on the outside with its striking design, with a double round-format camera module and an integrated lens on the front through a hole in the central part. Show off your socks that are 7.77 mm thick and weigh 175 grams.
Your screen with Amoled technology It is one of the best exponents thanks to the 6.57 inches with Full HD + resolution and refresh rate of up to 120 Hz with 300 Hz sampling. A smartphone to squeeze and enjoy with its high pixel density and slightly curved screen. The screen itself integrates the fingerprint sensor under it.
Moving inside, we have the Snapdragon 778G processor that we have seen so many times in action in its competition. Model that comes available with a memory option of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. With the option of using an NM Card or a second SIM.
Regarding its cameras, we come across a key aspect, where its 50 Mpx on a main lens with f / 1.9 aperture ensures good results in all conditions. In the next circle in the large camera module we have space for the flash, as well as three extra lenses. One of them is the wide angle with 8 Mpx, in addition to two 2 Mpx lenses correspondingly for the macro sensor and depth information.
It also has an electronic image stabilizer and the ability to record video in 4K. The selfie camera is not far behind and has 32 Mpx designed to make all kinds of portraits or video calls. It includes NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, all GPS positioning systems and yet it forgets about 5G.
The battery in this model is 4300 mAh, combined with the 66 W Huawei SuperCharger fast charge. The surprise has come in the software section, where EMUI 12 is on board of this model as the first smartphone to debut in Spain with Android 10 below the layer. It has all the Huawei services, with special mention of progress in Petal Maps, Petal Search and Petal Clip to edit advanced videos with EMUI without downloading any app.
All about the Huawei Nova 8i
Although in the presentation this model has gone more unnoticed, Huawei’s most classic mid-range has a design that is very reminiscent of the Huawei P40. In this case we come across a flat screen smartphone, with IPS technology and large 6.67-inch screen. It offers 180Hz tactile response with an extended hole for your selfie camera.
Inside you also opt for Qualcomm with the Snapdragon 662 and a 6GB RAM and 128GB configuration. Also with the option of using a memory card. In this case, the fingerprint reader goes to the side, integrated next to the power button. Bypassing the NFC, also offered in software EMUI 12 and opting for Bluetooth 5.0, 4G and GPS systems.
The cameras of this Huawei Nova 8i are led by a 64MP main sensor in a centered circular format. It offers an 8MP ultra-wide angle, 2MP macro sensor and identical portrait mode. The formal camera is in this case 16Mpx and for video the main camera has an electronic stabilizer, as well as 4K recording.
The battery of this model is also 4,300 mAh with no changes in fast charging even though it is cheaper, the same 66 W are present.
