As Apple advanced at the special event for the presentation of the iPhone 14, iOS 16, the new version of its flagship operating system, is now available. Although this time some of its novelties have fallen by the wayside, iOS 16 arrives loaded with new options for usersamong which the new customization of the lock screen stands out.
The shared gallery is one of those great novelties for which we will have to wait, but the rest of the options that come with iOS 16 for the iPhone can be used from today. The widgets on the lock screen, automatic cropping of elements in photos, improvements in messages… a host of new features with which you can further personalize the iPhone.
As usual, iOS 16 is available through system preferences as an OTA update, and the size of its download It depends on the device from which you are installing it.. iOS 16 is compatible with a good list of devices, although as usual, the oldest ones are left out, and also some options are limited to newer devices.
How to install iOS 16:
- Open the menu of Settings of your iPhone.
- Scroll through the menu and enter the section General.
- Choose Software update at the top of this menu.
- Later, you will see how your iPhone begins to search for the new version.
When you have finished searching, tap on Download and Install, just below the text that explains what’s new in iOS 16. After pressing it, your iPhone will ask for your unlock code; enter it and finish the process.
