Who gets a discount on their ticket?
Through its Twitter account, the Federal Consumer Attorney’s Office (Profeco) reported that bus lines have the obligation to grant a 50% discount to eight students and 25% to two teachers per unit. In the case of seniors, the lines must apply a 50% discount to 2 passengers per unit.

To obtain this benefit it is important to have the following documents on hand:
- Valid official identification (for adults).
- Updated student identification or certificate issued by the school, with your registration, photograph and seal of the institution.
- Identification of the teacher of the school where he teaches.
- INAPAM credential.

How to request the discount?
When you arrive at the counter of your preferred line, you must indicate your destination, request the discount that corresponds to you and show your documents. If the line refuses to give you the discount, you can go to the Profeco modules that are in the head office or call 800 468 8722 to receive guidance.
