Maybe you want to sell it, that you have changed your mobile and you are going to keep the current one completely empty, that you are going to give it to a relative or that, simply, it goes wrong and you want to get it ready again. Whatever the reason, today we will see how to do it on Android phones and iPhones.
The process it is valid for any Androidregardless of the customization layer you have. The same happens with the iPhone, which in the latest versions of iOS has the option to restore the factory from the routes that we are going to indicate.
Factory reset an Android mobile
Before restore a factory Android mobile, it is important to make a backup of all our files. It is really simple, as we explain in this tutorial, and it will prevent you from losing important things such as contacts or downloaded applications.
If you have already completed it and have the phone well charged battery, you are ready to proceed. The steps are the following:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Look for “System”.
- Select “Recovery Options.”
- Click on “Clear all data”.
- The mobile will ask you a second time if you want to proceed with the restoration (in case you have forgotten something). If everything is in order, click on “Delete all” and wait.
In the event that you cannot find the route, you just have to type ‘reset’ in the settings search engine itself, so that the option appears without you having to search for anything.
Once you have clicked on “Delete all”, you simply have to wait a few minutes for it to finish the reset and that’s it. Some mobiles, such as the OnePlus with which the captures have been taken, allow you to mark if you want to erase the internal storage or not. On mobiles with Android One, for example, there is no option and everything is deleted directly.
In case you are going to sell it or give it to a relative, It is also advisable to unlink the Google account from the terminal. To do this, go to Settings> Accounts> Google and remove the account from the device before factory reset.
