But if the user specifically knows which emails are not useful to him, he can take action in bulk. For example, he may choose to delete all emails from a job search newsletter in which all vacancies are most likely no longer current.
To do this, simply search for, for example, “occ” or “computrabajo”. When the search results appear, click the checkbox to select all.
And, after this, click on the legend “Select all the conversations that match this search”, to eliminate absolutely everything that has to do with those keywords. Just click on the trash can icon and confirm the block action to finish.
Delete from trash
Be careful, both in the case of Gmail and Outlook, you must go to the trash folder, where the “deleted” emails go, and click on empty trash. This will permanently delete all the emails you no longer want to have. Otherwise, those emails will continue to use space even when they are in the trash.
How to free up space in Outlook?
This Microsoft service automatically sorts emails by date, but if you click on the filter, you can change the settings and choose, for example, to sort emails by size. This will show the emails that take up the most space first.
This way it will be easier to eliminate attached files, and in a massive way, hundreds of attached photos, past presentations, videos that are no longer important.
Outlook also gives the option of creating folders that, when configured, can only store those emails whose size exceeds, for example, 100 KB. Thus, from time to time, you can click on empty folder and, voila, the tray will be clean again.
