For weeks ago, the rumor began to spread that Harrison Ford would be participating in some way in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, something that was not fully confirmed. However, the fans can already be happy, because practically a few hours ago the media was told that his participation is already a fact. Sites like Deadline spoke with their official sources and concluded that Ford is going to embody none other than General Thunderbolt Ross, being the leader of the next elite of Marvel anti-heroes. But this is not going to be his first film, since Captain America 4 is going to be released beforehand, where the actor is going to make his respective debut. For those unfamiliar with the character, General Ross is a high-ranking military officer, first introduced in Marvel comics in 1962, who goes on to lead the team of anti-heroes known as the Thunderbolts. He is unfortunately replacing actor Oscar William Hurt, who had the character from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk to 2021’s Black Widow, since he passed away in March of this year. Following the success of the Disney+ series Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie is starring in a new Captain America movie. It will be the fourth in the franchise after The First Avenger, The Winter Soldier and Civil War, and the first since Chris Evans retired from the role of Steve Rogers after Avengers: Endgame in 2019. It opens on May 3, 2024. Via: Deadline Editor’s note: It will be a joy to see Harrison Ford with a role in the UCM, the best thing is that he will be one of the protagonists who recruits the new chosen ones to save the world or be against him.
