Reuters.- A journalist died in Guerrero on Sunday after being the victim of a firearm attack, becoming the second communicator to lose his life in less than a week during violent events.
Alfredo Cardoso, a photojournalist from Guerrero, one of the most violent in the country, was hospitalized for two days. According to local media, prior to the attack, he was forcibly removed from his home by unidentified men.
“Witness interviews are being collected to provide data and elements to locate and arrest the person or persons likely responsible for the crime,” the state prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
So far it is not clear if the death of the photojournalist, founder of the Internet portal “Las dos costas”, is related to his profession.
