Olive oil, oregano, lemon and garlic cloves is all that is needed to prepare these Greek potatoes. A very simple, but tasty and versatile recipe of our own invention. Ideal to consume on its own or as a garnish for meat, fish and much more. Up to you.
As happens with dishes that have few ingredients, it is important that these are of good quality if we want to obtain an optimal result. Using a good potato is key, do not skimp when buying. An economical product with which you won’t break the bank, but which will bring you a lot of joy.
Peel the potatoes and chop them into snack piecesas similar in size as possible. We place them in a microwave-safe dish and cook them at maximum power for 6-8 minutes.
Meanwhile, peel the garlic cloves and cut half a lemon into wedges. We add them to the source with the potatoes along with a little garlic salt, a splash of good extra virgin olive oil and the branches of fresh oregano.
Put the dish in the oven, preheated to 200ºC with heat up and down, and roast the potatoes for about 20-25 minutes or until they start to turn brown and are tender inside.
at the time of serving remove the branches of oregano and lemon, which will have been reduced to a minimum, and we replace them with fresh leaves and lemon. We season to taste and to the table!
