What is PurchaseNet?
CompraNet is the electronic system of government public information on public procurement and is mandatory for the subjects indicated in Article 1 of the LAASSP Law and the Law of Public Works and Related Services (LOPSRM).
This system allows public institutions to carry out contracting procedures electronically, mixed or in person; bidders, suppliers or contractors have functionalities in the system that allow them to consult the contracting procedures and send their technical and economic proposals in a secure manner.
The system provides service to more than 250,000 companies, 5,400 purchasing units of the three levels of government, and has 240 supervisors attached to the Internal Control Bodies and state Comptrollers.
CompraNet is administered and operated by the Public Procurement Policy Unit (UPCP) of the Ministry of Public Administration (SFP).
Treasury guarantees scrutiny and surveillance
The dependency detailed that 93% of the procedures that began electronically by various dependencies have continued with their natural course, without presenting any problem, in accordance with the criteria issued by the Public Procurement Regulations Unit (UNCP).
“All contracting procedures are subject to public scrutiny and monitored by the internal control bodies of each agency responsible for their processes,” said the Treasury.
