One of the most important features of Zoom, Teams or Meet is the possibility of personalize a video call. Although the applications offer a range of options, not all are to the liking of the users, who end up using the default blur. This will change very soon, as Google Meet will allow you to create funds with the help of artificial intelligence.
This option was discovered by Artem Russakovskii, editor of Android Policewho posted a screenshot on Twitter. AI generated wallpapers are in testing phase for a small group of users. Its operation is similar to that of ChatGPT, where it is required to introduce a prompt.
To activate them, just select the “Generate background” option and write with natural language the type of image we want. We can also select various styles for the final design, such as science fiction, fantasy, 3D animation, photography. artificial intelligence will produce multiple variants to choose the one we like the most and use it.
Funds generated by AI can be changed before or during a video call. The function is located within the tab effects and allows you to preview the final result. For better designs, Google recommends including references to a style or mood, or to an environment and the objects that are part of it.
If you do not agree with the results, you can change the prompt and create new samples. Because this is a feature in development, Google warns that the results could be different than expected.
The support website mentions that the funds generated by artificial intelligencel will be available through Workspace LabsGoogle’s program for testing new AI-powered features.
Google steps on the accelerator in its artificial intelligence strategy with Bard and Meet
Google does not want to be left behind in the artificial intelligence race, so it is stepping on the accelerator to implement it in its services. Although the company has been working on the technology for years, a bad decision allowed Microsoft and OpenAI to take the lead. Bing’s debut with ChatGPT forced those from Mountain View to change their strategy and now they are looking to recover lost ground.
Some days ago, Google launched Bard in Spain. The chatbot circumvented the regulations of the European Union and debuted with new features and more than 40 languages, including Spanish. Among its functions we find the integration of Google Lens, in which users can request information from an image.
Unlike Bing with ChatGPT, Bard’s artificial intelligence is not integrated into Google’s search engine, although the technological giant is already working on its deployment. Like the AI-generated backgrounds on Meet, the company limits access to a specific group of users before opening it to the general public.
If you want to test Google’s advances in artificial intelligence you can sign up on the Workspace Labs website. Some features are only available to businesses or educational institutions, like Duet AI, Microsoft 365’s answer to Copilot.
