As you surely already know, George R.R. Martinauthor of game of Thronescollaborated with FromSoftware writing lore parts Elden Ring. Although his contributions were not as significant as many of us had come to think, there was an interesting theory floating around the internet related to this writer’s contribution, which was already denied by him himself. Martin.
This theory stated that Martin had hidden his initials throughout the game’s bosses, including Godfrey, Rennala, Radagon, and Marika. Unlike other theories, this one was not so far-fetched, but according to the writer, it is not entirely true. In a personal blog post of his, Martin completely debunked this:
“There’s a weird story going around the internet about how I ‘hid’ my initials in Elden Ring, because some characters start with the letter R, or G, or M. I’m like, ‘Really? I didn’t know about that.’
I’ve been writing and publishing stories since 1971, and I suspect I’ve given my characters names with the letters R and G and M since the beginning. Just as with the other 23 letters of the alphabet.
But seriously, why would I hide my name in the game? My name is IN the game, as one of its creators. Listen, Elden Ring is already exciting enough, there’s no need to make stuff up.”
So there you have it, it seems that everything turned out to be a simple coincidence in the end, although surely the statements of Martin they won’t be enough to stop people from speculating. And it is that Elden Ring It is a game with many secrets, perhaps more than we had thought.
Publisher’s note: The truth did make a little sense this theory, but as Martin says, there is no need to hide your initials within the game. Over time, the author may give us additional details about his involvement, but for now we will have to settle for this.
