Although 2022 was a turbulent year for the crypto sector, that did not stop the expansion of HUMAN Protocol. This was indicated by the HUMAN Protocol Foundation, sharing with Cointelegraph in Spanish, some details of the plans they have for the future.
“The development of the Routing Protocol, designed to promote the operation and contribution of third parties to the network, has laid new foundations that will allow the growth of the HUMAN Protocol. The Grants Program, the Impact Projects and the Maintainers Program show that it has been a year of expansion of the Protocol to adapt it to new technologies and use cases”, they pointed out on the official Human blog.
“These programs have provided the context to allow projects to build with the HUMAN Protocol, which they can now do more easily than ever through our single, consolidated monorepo,” they added later.
In 2023, however, the focus will be on facilitating the implementation and scaling of the technologies, products, and collaborations that these programs bring.
HUMAN’s plans for 2023
Below is a list of potential milestones and various topics for the community to decide on.
routing protocol
They hope to work to bring the Routing Protocol online this year.
It should be noted that they developed the Routing Protocol as a coordination layer of the blockchain to encourage progressive adoption and decentralization of the entire network. The Routing Protocol was proposed by Wormhole, which intended to turn it into xChain, to the community on Discord, where the vote passed.
Concessions and subsidies
From HUMAN they hope that the various integrations and DApps associated with grants will begin to be online this year.
Over the past year, the Grants Committee has worked to sift through the many applications for the grant program and find those that could make great use of the Protocol. Many subsidies were awarded and work is already underway to get it up and running.
Some examples are Hummingbot (decentralized AMM), VeritaTrust (decentralized reviews), Signa-X (game challenge launch), Me Protocol (brand loyalty program), and Basenode (crypto billing and FIAT onramp).
They said the committee will continue to award grants
ambassador program
In 2023, the Foundation plans to work to reconfigure and relaunch the Ambassador Program. As they explained to Cointelegraph en Español, this could become a valuable education and adoption tool.
governance
“In 2022, we began to decentralize both the operation and the decision-making processes of the network,” they remarked from HUMAN.
“In 2023, this decentralization will increase through governance. The routing protocol proposals contained blueprints for governance structures. However, our dedication to decentralizing and promoting community contribution will precede the construction of the Routing Protocol. We have already started the process through voting on Discord in 2022; We will continue to raise more issues with the community on Discord until other processes are established in parallel with the development of the Routing Protocol,” they stressed.
Chains
The HUMAN protocol was designed for the use of multichains. “With Multichain building bridges for HMT, and Wormhole proposing to make xChain Routing Protocol, there is a lot of scope for HMT to work and be available on an increasing number of chains. This will likely include a mix of EVM and L1,” they specified.
It is important to note that the Maintainer Program has already established maintainers on Skale, Moonbeam, BSC, and Polygon. And the integration with Solana, Polkadot, Elrond, Neon, Celo, AVAX and OKX Chain is being worked on.
CVAT
CVAT works were scheduled to go live on the HUMAN app in January 2023.
CVAT is a data annotation tool with semi-automated functionalities, increasing the types of work that the Protocol can perform.
IMOO
IMOO (Information market on-chain oracle) is a new native product of the HUMAN Protocol. It establishes new potential by enabling a decentralized Q&A system that could be used across a suite of DeFi products, among others.
events
Finally, from HUMAN they indicated that they hope to organize more events around the world to help forge relationships. Last year, one such event was held in conjunction with Cointelegraph en Español, in Bogotá, Colombia.
