Samsung has already confirmed the launch date of its future premium range smartphones, the Galaxy S22. The South Korean firm will reveal all the news of these new devices on February 9. Meanwhile, the leaks have revealed many details, such as its main features, its design or even the prices of these models.
The company, in particular, plans to announce three variants of the Galaxy S22 family, starting with a standard version that probably includes a more compact screen and slightly lower specifications to give it a lower price. A Galaxy S22+ is also expected, a slightly more vitaminized version with a larger screen. The third model, and the most important, will be the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Regarding the design, it seems that the only smartphone in the series that will change its appearance is the Ultra model. This, in particular, will include an aesthetic similar to that of the Galaxy Note, with flat frames and a hole to attach the S Pen. The lenses, in addition, will be incorporated in the back, and will not have a photographic module like the rest of the models. Recent images shared by LetsGoDigital They show the aforementioned aspect in great detail, as well as its different finishes. The Ultra model will arrive, specifically, with three colors: black, white and a kind of copper tone.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+, on the other hand, will maintain the design line of their predecessors. At least, this is reflected in the latest images shared by the leakr Evan Blass. Both versions will have slightly rounded corners and a module that appears to protrude from the bottom frame. Samsung, in addition, will modify the material of these models and will bet on a plastic made up of recycled fishing nets, as it has recently confirmed. At the moment, it is unknown in which areas of the body this material will be used.
The characteristics of the Galaxy S22
according to reports, Samsung will slightly change the size of the screens of its Galaxy S22. The standard model could come with a 6.06-inch panel, while the Plus version would bet on a 6.55-inch screen. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be larger, with 6.81 inches. All of them are expected to include a QHD + resolution, although it would not be strange to see a Full HD + resolution in the standard model. On the other hand, everything seems to indicate that they will maintain an adaptive refresh rate with up to 120 Hz. All this, with batteries that will reach 5,000 mAh in the case of some models.
The Samsung Galaxy S22, yes, will hardly differ in performance, since the company could bet on the same processor in all three models. Specifically, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra are expected to be marketed in Europe, include the chip Exynos 2200, developed internally and together with AMD. This was announced just a few weeks ago and includes more than enough features to match the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Qualcomm processor would be available in those models that are marketed in the United States and other countries.
No big changes are expected in the RAM and storage configurations. The S22 Ultra will be the most powerful model in this regard, with a capacity of 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory in its base version, an intermediate variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, and a version with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The Galaxy S22 and its Plus version, on the other hand, will receive 8 GB RAM in all its variants, with the possibility of choosing between 128 or 256 GB of storage.
What will the cameras of the new Samsung smartphones be like?
Although there are no relevant details about the configurations of their cameras, everything indicates that there will be no major changes in the number of sensors or in resolution. The filtered images, in fact, show that the two base models will have a triple camerawhile the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have four lenses.
The configuration could be the same in the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+, making the only differences in screen size and autonomy. Specifically, both models could arrive with a 50 megapixel primary sensora second 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor capable of taking pictures with a 3x optical zoom.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, could arrive with a 108-megapixel resolution primary sensor. Also with a 12 megapixel ultra wide angle camera and two additional 10-megapixel sensors with up to 10x optical zoom. All this, with a 40-megapixel resolution selfie camera that could stay at 10 MP in the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus. All this, in addition, with different improvements in the photography modes that the company already included in other models. Samsung, specifically, has confirmed that these terminals will arrive with “new advances in low-light photography technology.” Suggesting, therefore, that night photography will be one of the main features in the photographic section.
