In recent months, the new generation consoles have been distinguished by a specific element, that is to give a second wind to video games that were launched on past devices. We have seen that with games like Assassin’s Creed Origins, DOOM Eternal, Cyberpunk 2077as well as soon the update of The Witcher 3.
Thus it was confirmed that Fallout 4 is going to have such an update, this was detailed on the official game blog, mentioning that it will have performance mode features for high frame rates, quality features for 4K resolution games, bug fixes, and even additional content from the Creation Club.
It is worth mentioning that Fallout 4 was improved for xbox onex long time ago, which allowed the game to run at 4K and 30 frames per second. Xbox Series X/S you can move the game around with an ‘FPS boost’ setting enabled, but while this increases the frame rate to 60fps, it also drops the resolution to 1080p.
Now that presumably Series X/S and PS5 are superior in theory to One X, it is logical that there will be no sacrifices to be able to run the RPG title at about 60 fps and also up to 4K at the same time. After all, it is a video game that was released quite a few years ago, ideal for addressing a new audience for the franchise.
The update will come to consoles and pc in the next 2023.

Publisher’s note: It is positive that these updates are carried out, especially since they are not having an additional price. You only have to have the physical or digital version of said video game, then it will be worth taking a look at.
