Meta is betting heavily on its Reels, both on Instagram and Facebook. Now, the company has implemented some improvements on this latest platform, and it is now we can share videos from third-party applications.
With the new integration, Meta plans to make it easier to share content to Facebook Reels removing some barriers. While until now to share a video we had to download it, search for it on our mobile and then edit it, with the novelty the process becomes much more direct, since it will be possible to quickly share and edit it with the touch of a single button.
The button, called “Share on Reels”, has already been integrated into several video services. Among them, VivaVideo, Vita and Smule. Likewise, those applications interested in integrating the button in their services only have to enter the developers website Meta and follow the steps explained there. Obviously, the integration will depend on the apps having an interest in doing so.
Once integrated, third-party apps will have a Reels button so users can share short videos and customize them with Reels’ editing tools such as audio, text, effects, subtitles, and stickers. Instead of downloading video content and uploading it later, now you can seamlessly create and share videos with the touch of a button.

By making it easy to share Reels to Facebook, Meta plans to help videos of people reach more and more audiences. A function that reminds us of that of Add Reel to History what we have on Instagram; but with a much more ambitious goal.
You can now see Reels on Facebook
After being released on a limited basis in the United States, Reels have finally arrived on Facebook en masse. Now users around the world will be able to enjoy these short videos almost anywhere in the app. However, it has a section dedicated to them so you don’t miss any.
Also, Meta has been working on improve monetization through Reelsand offers creators new ways to make money through ads.
Seeing Reels on Facebook is quite simple, and even if you don’t want to, you will probably end up seeing some. When you enter the application, you will see the upper part of it separated into three sections: Stories, Reels and Rooms. Of course, to see these short videos you have to enter the second one. However, as you scroll through your Facebook home, you will see “islands” in which Reels that may interest you will appear.
Facebook and Instagram Reels came as a way to combat the popularity of TikTok versus Meta services. Despite initial misgivings about the format’s adoption, it has quickly become the “fastest growing content format yet,” according to TechCrunch. Furthermore, it is the fastest way to grow on instagram and on Facebook too.
