As part of a strategy to give content creators more control, Facebook announced the inclusion of new tools in the comments section.
Facebook, although it is the most used social network in the world, with the passage of time and the change in trends, it has been losing popularity thanks, to a large extent, to TikTok.the Chinese platform that was placed in the taste and preference of Internet users since the arrival of the pandemic.
However, we can say that, as of today, the social network owned by Meta already has almost three billion users globally, being the undisputed leader on the digital scene, offering various experiences to its broad base of followers.
However, we are also talking about a context in which the platform developed by ByteDance is, today, the most popular social network and the one most used by the new generations. This means that, according to Globalwebindex, that young people between the ages of 16 and 24 are more involved in TikTok than in any other social network.
Only these data speak of the low influx that Facebook is generating in the new generation of Internet users. In fact, in its most recent report, the social network announced that monthly active users of the social network decreased by two million in the second quarter of 2022.
What is this stagnation due to? Reality dictates that, currently, visual platforms are booming; TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat represent a different experience for users.
Facebook announces new tools for creators
Taking into account the growing popularity of content creators and the great opportunity they offer, social networks have been adapting to one of the most important in terms of marketing: the influencer marketing.
At present, the screen of platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and even Snapchat and even Twitchhave been gaining more and more Internet users and brands, which seek to continue consolidating themselves in the most basic habits of users.
That is why neither Facebook nor Twitter want to stay out of the trend and, in view of this, today the Mark Zuckerberg platform has decided to launch new tools to provide greater control to content creators.
More specifically, it is a series of comment moderation controls in order to make it easier for creators to manage their conversations on the social network. In addition, the users themselves will have the possibility to search for comments by means of keywords, including emojis, Internet user names and dates, in their publications and carry out massive actions, as noted by Techcrunch.
It should be noted that these new tools will be available through the comments manager section in the professional Facebook panel.
