For years, the existence of a Nintendo Switch Pro has been one of the biggest rumors in the gaming community. Now, a recent analysis of the latest trailer for the sequel to breath of the wild could indicate that an improved version of the hybrid console is on the waythis according to Digital Foundry.
In the most recent Digital Foundry podcast, a YouTube channel focused on analyzing the technical aspects of various games, the last trailer for the sequel to breath of the wildwhere it was noted that Nintendo is using some advanced techniques in this installment, so it is speculated that a new model of the Switch is on the way. This was what Alex Battaglia commented:
“I wouldn’t be too surprised in terms of what the game is about. Overall, I think since they’re delaying it now, I think it’s going to be the equivalent of what we saw with Breath of the Wild, where it’s released in the old and also the new.”
In his analysis, Battaglia pointed out that volumetric clouds on Switch are rarely seen and perfect anti-aliasingsomething even the Xbox Series X has issues with, also seemed to hint that the sequel could be running on a more powerful version of the hybrid console.
Yes ok there’s a chance nintendo used a couple of techniques to make the trailer look better of what the game actually is, this is usually not the case with the company, and we usually see trailers that accurately reflect the experience that will reach our hands. Alongside this, some fans have pointed out that the delay could also correspond to a more powerful version of the Switch.
At the moment there is no official response from Nintendo. The sequel to breath of the wild will arrive spring 2023. In related topics, a leak reveals the possible name of this continuation. Similarly, the value of Nintendo decreased when this delay became known.
Editor’s note:
A new version of the Switch is still a possibility. Although the OLED model substantially improves the screen and, therefore, the portable experience, a power increase is still needed for all those who prefer to play in the dock. This is something that has to happen yes or yes.
