Good Friday, of Passion and special day of Holy Week; many will be preparing for the climax of this Easter while others will already have a few lucky days off on vacation. We don’t want to ruin the party for anyone, but Monday starts a new week back to the routine, and think about the next weekly menu It’s a great way to take advantage of this holiday weekend.
In reality, the end of Holy Week will not be so traumatic, since Easter Monday itself in some areas will be lengthening the festivities by eating monkeys, and in Murcia its big week begins with the Spring parties. So, in our menu proposal, we include very spring recipes in keeping with this era, with a small tribute to the Murcian recipe book, which is my land for something -and there is accumulated nostalgia-.
The festivities are from Murcia but our gastronomy would not be the same without the contribution of other areas, especially with the coastal coastline, the Mar Menor and Cartagena, its already almost universal seafarers and that delicious cauldron. Although we save it better for the summer, and today we look more at the garden, to the vegetables that are so appetizing in good weather. And we cannot forget others that are very seasonal, such as asparagus, peas or artichokes.
