Donald Trump assured that he will leave the White House if the Electoral College votes for Joe Biden at the meeting to be held on December 14.
In the closest thing to conceding his defeat, Republican Trump affirmed that if Biden achieves certification as the winner of the election by the Electoral College, he will leave the White House.
“I certainly will, and you know it,” the US president told reporters.
On December 14, the representatives of each state will communicate which candidate they will support, after deciding who won in each entity.
Previously, on December 8, the resolution on the votes by state will be held. Meanwhile, Joe Biden is expected to be sworn in as president of the United States on January 20, along with Kamala Harris, who will become the first woman to hold the position of vice president.
Delivery of vaccines against covid-19 in the US will start next week
On the other hand, the president of the United States assured that the delivery of vaccines against the coronavirus would begin next week and the following week.
Speaking to US troops stationed abroad via video link to mark the Thanksgiving holiday, Trump said the vaccine would initially be shipped to frontline workers, medical personnel and seniors.
